The paper aims to explore the components of interactive teaching methods for basic design in an immersive learning environment (CAVE). By analyzing the different categories under virtual reality, this study aims to produce a reliable first-step framework which contains the interactivities for educational purposes within a CAVE, also producing future support for design activities. The analysis would assume several dimensions: the immersive experience, the interactive methods, the combination of different senses. The purpose is to define a first-step experimental guideline to support the innovative learning approach for basic design in an immersive environment, in order to build a synaesthetic design didactic framework.

Abstract

The paper aims to explore the components of interactive teaching methods for basic design in an immersive learning environment (CAVE). By analyzing the different categories under virtual reality, this study aims to produce a reliable first-step framework which contains the interactivities for educational purposes within a CAVE, also producing future support for design activities. The analysis would assume several dimensions: the immersive experience, the interactive methods, the combination of different senses. The purpose is to define a first-step experimental guideline to support the innovative learning approach for basic design in an immersive environment, in order to build a synaesthetic design didactic framework.
