In 1901 the city of Salò, which stands on the west-side of Garda Lake, was seriously damaged by an earthquake. In order to avoid future disasters it was decided to make some urbanistic interventions: so a new public lakefront was constructed and the renovation changed completely the image of the city. The research investigate this important urbanistic change through original documents of those years, giving particular attention to those iconographic sources that were published for tourism.
