Since the Second Post-war period, a number of conditions for sharing art have changed, according to non-linear processes in which the involvement of open spaces and territory have acquired a fundamental role. Investigating this from the point of view of the exhibiting methods it is possible to trace a path that unites different experiences of inserting artworks into an open-air context, identifying an evolutionary logic in which art seeks a different placement logic, finding it within the landscape. Starting from a condition where the traditional modes of art exposition are brought to the ‘outside’, we come across forms of artistic realization the matrix of which is the direct relationship with the landscape, ultimately reaching recent experiences of total symbiosis and reciprocity between art and territory which propose innovative “environmental design” attitudes.

Abstract
Since the Second Post-war period, a number of conditions for sharing art have changed, according to non-linear processes in which the involvement of open spaces and territory have acquired a fundamental role. Investigating this from the point of view of the exhibiting methods it is possible to trace a path that unites different experiences of inserting artworks into an open-air context, identifying an evolutionary logic in which art seeks a different placement logic, finding it within the landscape. Starting from a condition where the traditional modes of art exposition are brought to the ‘outside’, we come across forms of artistic realization the matrix of which is the direct relationship with the landscape, ultimately reaching recent experiences of total symbiosis and reciprocity between art and territory which propose innovative “environmental design” attitudes.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
