The paper aims to analyse the problems of visual representation (photographic and video) related to the description of the Po Valley landscapes, agricultural / productive / housing, defined by the suburb belt around the city of Piacenza. This is a typical “Italian Landscape”, a title used by Luigi Ghirri to describe these marginal landscapes in the 80s of the last century, located along the Via Emilia, where the natural element mixes with everyday objects. The signs of the commercialization of the environment (understood with extension to geography / territory / city) become the reflection of the contemporary spirit.
