The analysis of the scientific production of Italian architectural historians during the three-year period 2014-2016 reveals the legacy of a structured research methodology, based on the philological analysis of primary sources (the archives), and the emergence of new study’s fields related to hyper-specialist narratives, also linked to the diversification of university education. The analysis shows protagonists, topics and periods most studied, from which it appears an evident attention to the contemporary and the Renaissance period, or to the history of city and territory. Finally, it reveals significant indications of the influence exerted on the publication choices of scholars by the current policies pursued by Ministry, Universities and Departments.

Abstract
The analysis of the scientific production of Italian architectural historians during the three-year period 2014-2016 reveals the legacy of a structured research methodology, based on the philological analysis of primary sources (the archives), and the emergence of new study’s fields related to hyper-specialist narratives, also linked to the diversification of university education. The analysis shows protagonists, topics and periods most studied, from which it appears an evident attention to the contemporary and the Renaissance period, or to the history of city and territory. Finally, it reveals significant indications of the influence exerted on the publication choices of scholars by the current policies pursued by Ministry, Universities and Departments.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
