Abstract
Is undoubtedly the prototype of the high and dense city, the one we all refer. It’s not only its history, its planning, its evolution to make it dense; it is also dense with imaginary due to endless stories, novels, films, serials that also make it to any visitor familiar. And for a photographer? It is even fuller of visionary. Jacob Riis, Berenice Abbot, Alfred Stieglitz, Edward Steichen, Ezra Stoller, Joel Meyerowitz, just to mention some pillars of photography that have worked on Manhattan and that with their works are the references for any photographer who implants himself in the city. To them any approach and move away in a sort of dance of cultural affinity and imaginary. With the same rhythm he will dance with his camera and his easel through the streets, between the buildings, between the skyscrapers.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
