Imago Urbis: Mantova, fotoanalisi

In the attempt to track the events regarding the historical and architectural heritage of Mantua, the UNESCO Chair in Architectural preservation and planning in world heritage cities of the Mantua campus of Politecnico di Milano, promoted a cataloguing and photographic mapping work of Mantua architectures. Walking around the town becomes a way to raise awareness of the perceptual value of the buildings, which are documented through writing and images, just like photographers at the turn of the XIX and XX centuries started doing, inspired by the slow wandering of Charles Baudlaire’s flâneur.
