What’s car? It’s art!

The exhibition Auto che passione! Interazione fra grafica e design (Cars! What Passion! Interaction between Graphic Art and Design) is heralded at the entrance to the m.a.x. museo by the “forest of posters”. Here graphic designs of cars investigate the new frontiers of contemporary design through an illustrated journey in which to grasp its functional, symbolic and experiential elements. The approach that emerges, brought out by the outstanding traits of the fifteen images selected, highlights the uniqueness and refinement of these cars as if they were works of art. They prompt the observer of these contemporary artefacts to adopt a different point of view, characterized as a pervasive attitude that has developed over time and led to the creation and accumulation of new knowledge and a new creativity. Constructing originality means creating a model of interpretation based on the continuous exchange of knowledge, in which memory can be regarded as an archive of memories but also a sphere to be rediscovered, in which to gather inspiration and stimuli, while developing creativity and conducting a new futuristic research
