Abstract
These fifty photographs provide an opportunity to discover a distant and fascinating city in the Punjab, the fertile plains of the Indus in the heart of Pakistan. Multan is a thousand-year-old settlement where history and renewal, richness and abandonment, conservation and a desire for change all come together. The images form part of the investigation conducted by a group of researchers organised by the Fondazione Politecnico di Milano (architects, engineers and industrial designers), as part of the “Sustainable, Social, Economical, Environmental Revitalization of the Historical Core of Multan City” initiative, a significant part of the conversion of the debt between Italy and Pakistan. This work has allowed for the creation of a framework for dealing with problems and opportunities and of an operational programme for resource use that prioritises infrastructure, tourism and energy.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
