Una sezione territoriale tra i siti Unesco dei Sacri Monti Varallo e di Crea / Nodes of tangible and intangible networks in the landscape between Torino and Milano. A transect from Varallo to Crea Sacred Mounts of Unesco World Heritage

The current paper analyzes the relationships between tangible and intangible networks in landscapes where nature, cultural heritage and infrastructure are strongly interlaced. In these environments, the accessibility, in a broad sense, of the territory needs to be supplied by traditional infrastructure that must be integrated firstly with landscape and with cultural heritage, but also with the provision of location based digital services. This paper considers the integration of the various kinds of networks in the complex landscape of the “central park” between the cities of Torino and Milano, along the north-south transect connecting the Sacred Mounts of Varallo and Crea, listed as World Heritage Sites UNESCO since 2003, alsointercepting the other UNESCO sites of the Geopark Sesia and Valgrande and of the Vineyard Landscapes of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato.

Il contributo studia le relazioni tra reti materiali e immateriali nei paesaggi in cui natura, patrimonio culturale e infrastrutture sono fortemente interrelati. In questi contesti l'accessibilità, in senso lato, deve essere garantita attraverso le infrastrutture tradizionali, che meritano tuttavia di essere integrate non solo con il paesaggio e con il patrimonio culturale, ma anche con la fornitura di servizi digitali geolocalizzati. Questo contributo considera il paesaggio complesso del “central park” tra le città di Torino e Milano e in particolare una sezione territoriale (transect), lungo la linea nord-sud che collega i Sacri Monti di Varallo e Crea, riconosciuti patrimonio dell'umanità dall'UNESCO dal 2003, intercettando anche gli altri siti Unesco del Geoparco Sesia e Valgrande e dei Paesaggi Vitivinicoli delle Langhe Roero e Monferrato.
