OBJECTIVES Evaluation of free fibula flap in oro-facial reconstructions. MATERIALS AND METHODS Review of the literature through PubMed and journals. RESULTS Patients are generally satisfied with esthetical and functional results of this surgery. CONCLUSIONS Nowadays the free fibula flap is the best reconstructive technique for mandibular and maxillary pathologies leading to a significant resection of bone and potentially also muscles and skin.
