The essay is committed to fostering a reflection on the shift of the production-territory relation in Europe, particularly in Italy. The survey on the territories is aimed at analyzing the idea of 'reindustrialization' through a dialogue among diverse areas that differ for products, background and point of observation. The essay identifies three categories related to production (spaces, territories and land) that allow a cross reading of the case-studies. The transformation of spaces is related to the re-definition of the process of goods production; the mutation of territories is described by a development policies analysis; eventually, the land is delineated according to the mutation of its value.

Abstract

The essay is committed to fostering a reflection on the shift of the production-territory relation in Europe, particularly in Italy. The survey on the territories is aimed at analyzing the idea of 'reindustrialization' through a dialogue among diverse areas that differ for products, background and point of observation. The essay identifies three categories related to production (spaces, territories and land) that allow a cross reading of the case-studies. The transformation of spaces is related to the re-definition of the process of goods production; the mutation of territories is described by a development policies analysis; eventually, the land is delineated according to the mutation of its value.
