For a European Industrial Renaissance is the title of an EU Commission communication dated January 2014 that promotes the reintroduction of goods' and services' production in Europe, so the implementation of a solid industrial base through specific policies and actions. In our field, reindustrialization issue entails a multidisciplinary reflection on the relation between territory, economy and society (which has been addressed in the essays and dialogues included in this report). Also, it leads researchers to look back to old territories and models of production to understand their present metamorphosis (as the case-studies presented here do, by describing findings and progresses of PhD researches).
