Nowadays the construction sector has been undergoing a deep transformation, with ever-increasing environmental and energy performances. The energy system of the new settlements will be based on the concepts of Smart City and nearly Zero Energy District (nZED). Of course, concepts and theories are well known and well defined, however, the number of practical applications is still very limited. In this framework, “Milano 4 You”, a district designed according to sustainability concepts, currently under development in Lombardy region, can be considered an interesting example, both for the proposed methodologies and the adopted technologies in the planning phase. In such regard, in this work the developed design methodology has been presented and the results on technoeconomic performances for various scenarios based on different alternative solutions are reported.

Abstract
Nowadays the construction sector has been undergoing a deep transformation, with ever-increasing environmental and energy performances. The energy system of the new settlements will be based on the concepts of Smart City and nearly Zero Energy District (nZED). Of course, concepts and theories are well known and well defined, however, the number of practical applications is still very limited. In this framework, “Milano 4 You”, a district designed according to sustainability concepts, currently under development in Lombardy region, can be considered an interesting example, both for the proposed methodologies and the adopted technologies in the planning phase. In such regard, in this work the developed design methodology has been presented and the results on technoeconomic performances for various scenarios based on different alternative solutions are reported.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
