Taking up some well-known critical positions of the architectural debate of the Eighties of the last Century, the thesis expressed in this paper moves in the direction of a substantial reconsideration of reconstruction practices as a design option, in the context of a sensitive critique of the paradigms of modern and contemporary architecture in relation to the historical and archaeological heritage.
