A heritage as vast as that produced by the postwar period – in particular by experimental districts, housing estates or industrial complexes built using prefabrication techniques and industrialized building processes – has led to the formation of complex cultural landscapes, intersected and fragile, in which the material component has a crucial function. The architectural and structural specifics of this heritage, characterized by modularity and seriality, have revealed criticalities and weaknesses with the passing of time. The risk of exclusively utilitarian changes dictated by economic-financial factors could lead within a relatively short time to the obliteration of a significant phase in the history of the transformation of our city and the territory, evidence of specific economic, political and social structures. Analysis of the urban landscapes in which the theme of seriality plays a key role, such as the QT8, suggests interesting parallels with the Naples area, in particular the work of Luigi Cosenza, placing the stress on the importance of a process of recognition, analysis and knowledge capable of raising awareness and leading to conservation practices for complex systems of signs and meanings that require specific strategies to govern their transformations.

Abstract
Analysis of the urban landscapes in which the theme of seriality plays a key role, such as the QT8, suggests interesting parallels with the Naples area, in particular the work of Luigi Cosenza, placing the stress on the importance of a process of recognition, analysis and knowledge capable of raising awareness and leading to conservation practices for complex systems of signs and meanings that require specific strategies to govern their transformations.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
