Abstract

In this contribute, it is evaluated the importance of the ‘urban regeneration’ in the landscape design, overall in the presence of fluvial areas. In this sense the landscape itself is considerate the result of many interacting ways to look, at as well as a deep synthesis of design’s heterogeneous and sometimes contradictory materials. In this sense the River Po constitutes an ideal venue to make a design experiment for the transformation of its riversides. The Po coast-line is in fact characterized by a strong variability and dynamism and for those reasons allows a lot of interesting case-studies that can define a sequence of different spaces able to intend the river as their principal spatial, cultural and physical reference.
