STRATEGIC AND THEMATIC AREAS - Space-Sequence. Strategies for design

Adopting a directed glance, the text investigates, in sequence, some particularly significant areas that unravel along the route of the river Po. Similar to a cadenced sequence of different environmental Strips, these areas become important evidence of the different changes that this part of the territory has immediately over time: from the more natural 'bands' belonging to the ancient river bed, to peri-urban areas still significant for the degree of rarefaction due to the still evident relationship between agricultural areas and urbanized parts, up to the peri-urban areas belonging to the ancient belts peripherals of the city. The story unfolds in the crossing, following significant environmental sections that every time identify the different physical, social and infrastructural thicknesses .
