“Tradition” is a rather appropriate term to introduce Massimo Vignelli as an editorial graphic designer. Vignelli, one among the most relevant personalities in this field at an international scene, started his career working with a group of young architects who gathered around the review “Casabella” then directed by E.N. Rogers. Later on Vignelli moved to New York and established a collaboration with the circle of the review “Oppositions”, defining the canons of the most original and iconic architectural publishing. In achieving this, Vignelli explored the range of capabilities traditionally practiced by an architect/designer.
