The unsteady supercritical two phase flow in an alluvial first order channel is bere discussed and the mechanism of sediment transport is analyzed where an unerodible bed underlies the cohesionless sediment layer. A one-dimensional mathernatical model is then derived where lateral affluxes of water and sediments are both taken into account. Results of a number of simulations are shown and the effects on sediment transport of short term morphological evolution of the channel bed are discussed.

Abstract
The unsteady supercritical two phase flow in an alluvial first order channel is bere discussed and the mechanism of sediment transport is analyzed where an unerodible bed underlies the cohesionless sediment layer. A one-dimensional mathernatical model is then derived where lateral affluxes of water and sediments are both taken into account. Results of a number of simulations are shown and the effects on sediment transport of short term morphological evolution of the channel bed are discussed.File in questo prodotto:
