This paper proposes a method in order to estimate the temperature of the water content of a vessel placed over an induction cook top in a non-invasive manner. The thermal procedure includes rising the temperature of water from ambient level to boiling phase. The aspects regarding change of thermo-physical properties and phase change are considered. Kalman filter has been applied as an estimator benefiting from a developed mathematical model. This is done using an electrical circuit as the equivalent of the lumped thermal model of the process. In order to take into account the practical implementation the different possibilities regarding the types of the container and amount of the content have been introduced as uncertainties to the Kalman filter parameters. The results of implementation of the method have been evaluated using experimental tests. © 2014 IEEE.

Abstract
© 2014 IEEE.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
