In this paper, some reflections are provided on the reliability analysis of systems of systems and the challenges posed by their specific characteristics of interdependence and complexity. Such characteristics generate dynamic system behaviors that are difficult to represent and model by classical decomposition/recomposition approaches. Different approaches need to be integrated, that look at the system of systems from different perspectives, including structural, dynamic, control-based, logic-based.
