This work presents an experimental investigation aiming at characterizing the mechanical performance of the new tetraxial fabric weaved with different combination of fibres. The weaved materials included: acrylic (PAN), polyester (PET), glass and Twaron fibres. Hybrid fabrics were characterized by uniaxial tensile testing in the three principal directions and biaxial tensile testing with different ratio of the warp - to - weft loadings. The tensile behaviour of the fibres and the relevant coefficients of friction were also measured for further numerical modelling of the textile mechanical behaviour.

Abstract
This work presents an experimental investigation aiming at characterizing the mechanical performance of the new tetraxial fabric weaved with different combination of fibres. The weaved materials included: acrylic (PAN), polyester (PET), glass and Twaron fibres. Hybrid fabrics were characterized by uniaxial tensile testing in the three principal directions and biaxial tensile testing with different ratio of the warp - to - weft loadings. The tensile behaviour of the fibres and the relevant coefficients of friction were also measured for further numerical modelling of the textile mechanical behaviour.File in questo prodotto:
