Studies on Aldo Rossi’s design activity and on expression of its creativity by means of drawings are plenty. The relationship between his biography as scientist or simple man and renderer of his thought has been less investigated. In this paper we will explore link of cause and effect between circumstances of his biography and design and graphic processing. In his work drawing for design was the result that memory had been renewing freely, according to experience; it was the sediment of a process where creativity was essential for a genius memoriae.
