Wandering through the time of the city. Real and virtual Milanese itineraries

In view of the migrant flows that nowadyas are spreading over the Western world, the processes of taking roots will base more and more on the widespread knowledge of places through the help of virtual tools. On the other hand the web has increased the possibilities of accessing to a large cartographic and iconographic heritage about the represantion of the european city. Nevertheless the use of this legacy is addressed to skilled users as specialist or researcher that are confident with tools like the GIS or with cataloguing. The paper describes an experience made on the city of Milan regarding the planning of urban itineraries through a selection of significant places of this city. The itineraries give the opportunity to know them through the stages of a “guided tour” with the aid of documents and images that are accessible with a QR code on the specific web portal.
