More than a century after its discovery and publication, O. Cairo 25184 is re-examined according to the results of the most recent research in the Valley of the Kings. The identification of the plan drawn on the ostracon as KV 6, tomb of Ramses IX, is confirmed, thus providing interesting insights into the planning and building of rock-cut tombs.
