Starting from the identification of the specificities of the Aride Zones, the research conducted by the Design Department of Politecnico di Milano, has focused on the design experiences that emerged in these areas. Through the description of strategies or practical examples of tradition and contemporaneity, the origins of some of the strategies used to counter some critical issues of arid areas have been identified.
