This paper proposes a novel averaging technique for the spatial distribution of P300 evoked potentials using independent component analysis. The averaging procedure is performed using the P300 signals obtained from different target epochs providing an averaged P300 spatial distribution for a subject of interest. An improved spatial selection of independent components or more accurate P300 extraction are some of the possible applications where the proposed approach might be used.
