Over the last few years, greater or lesser climate changes have been recorded, which have been perceived to a greater or lesser extent by city users. They can be briefly summarized, with respect to the heating period, as a sequence of cold and mild winters and, with respect to summer, as a series of very hot days followed by days with a drop in temperatures (rainy days). The objective of this paper is to point out climate anomalies that have been recorded in Milan since 2000 (compared to a defined historical series) and to determine their consequences in terms of energy consumption, identifying HDD as reference parameter. The contribution is divided into two sections. In the first section, the profile of Milan’s microclimate is defined, starting from the analysis of instrumental historical series (1961-1990), which become the reference to weight climate changes that have occurred. In the second section, climate profiles for recent years are defined, highlighting the significant anomalies recorded. Lastly, possible energy savings are pointed out, starting from the analysis of the change in HDD (heating degree days).
