Città Alta (Bergamo, It) is characterized by the presence of a high number of abandoned public accommodations, which represent – in an increasingly elderly social context – anopportunity for regenerating the city and fostering a balanced social mix, going through new forms of assistance and treatment, the creation of public spaces and new job opportunities. The research into new forms of shared housing for elderly autonomous people, aims at making the city an inclusive and innovative organism.

Abstract

Città Alta (Bergamo, It) is characterized by the presence of a high number of abandoned public accommodations, which represent – in an increasingly elderly social context – anopportunity for regenerating the city and fostering a balanced social mix, going through new forms of assistance and treatment, the creation of public spaces and new job opportunities.
