lndirect evaporative cooling is an effective way to increase energy efficiency of Data Center air conditioning systems. In this work, an indirect evaporative cooling system based on a cross flow plate heat exchanger has been widely tested, in order to evaluate the effect of different system setup on performance. In particular, three different pos­itions of water nozzles have been analysed: installation respectively on the top, on the side and on the bottom of the heat exchanger. Tests have been performed in typical Data Center operating conditions: results put in evidence that best performance is achieved when water and air stream are supplied from the top of the system.
